About Our School

   WHO IS SAINT GEMMA?

In September of 2015, McMaster School officially became St. Gemma Catholic School.  Click here to learn more about our patron saint.

St. Gemma Catholic School’s main parish link is with Resurrection of our Lord Catholic Church.  We are also lucky to have Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church as a part of our community too.

Catholic Graduate Expectations

St. Gemma Catholic School prides itself in being a school that not only digs deeply into the Ontario Curriculum in all subject areas,  but also works hard to ensure that our students are well developed in the Catholic Graduate Expectations.

Catholic education views human life as an integration of body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in this vision, Catholic education fosters the search for knowledge as a lifelong spiritual and academic quest. The expectations of Catholic graduates, therefore, are described not only in terms of knowledge and skills, but in terms of values, attitudes and actions.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

For student absences, e-mail Mrs. St.Jean

Please drop off and pick-up your son or daughter in front of the school, behind the bus lane. The parking lot is limited in space, therefore, is reserved for the staff. If you are picking up a student after school, please meet your son or daughter at the West end of the building at the portapack door.

We enjoy a good relationship with our neighbours and wish to continue to do so.  Please be careful not to block driveways when picking up or dropping off your child(ren).
Please help keep all of our students safe at school - choose nut-free meals and snacks.
